firstly give good and top education to girl because she will fight for her right's and when all girl's educate then nobody presurise them for dowry and etc.

I didn't accept anything in terms of dowry (niether cash, nor any commodity), when I got married. My brother didn't either. It's the same with all of my friends.
Everyone should contribute similarly. Before fighting over the issue, we gotta first uproot the evil from within ourselves.
Dowry is a curse when it's a demand. However, if the girls parents offer what they can afford, it's ok. These days, even gifts from girls parents are looked upon as dowry. Think the issue is hyped a lot. Actually dowry system is gradually vanishing. All though there are areas where people still practice this ill system, but they too are afraid of being caught. I hope within next few years, dowry would be just history.

Please understand no one has made dowry a system. People have projected it and magnified it so big that you have no chance of removing this. People were gifting things to the daughter. But the grooms parents got greedy and thus started this demand.Encourage inter caste and love marriages, educate the groom not to listen to demanding parents and finally encourage that groom should pay dowry to the Bride. Bring a decree and ------ this will vanish. By the way are you married?

Simply by not giving/taking dowry when you are getting married...and by not giving dowry when your daughter gets married and not accepting dowry when your son gets married.
Charity begins at home..and removing the dowry system begins at home too.

MAN / MALE should get matured as they are the only person who can stop the dowry system.
I think Women / Female don't take dowry.
So it is they, if decided to stop this system, they can do it.

dowry is a social evil that has no second side to it. it is almost prostitution..only her girls parents pay...she is trapped for life and everything has the parental approval. it is a sick practise that need to be uprooted from the society. women are not pieces of junk you found on the road and to thrown on someone to recreate a cricket team! if you ask me i would give slavery 6 out of 10 and dowry 9 on 10. at least in slavery the keeper pays...dowry is just a perfect way of disrespecting, degrading and humiliating the very nurturer of life.

There is 1 more system if we follow that we can easily get rid of dowry system
by keeping the groom as GHAR JAMAI.

Only if you will imigrate the whole Indian population overseas...and hopefully that is not guarantee that will adopt the culture rules of the land that they relocate. In conclusion if that makes some people happy...simply leave them alow...because in the long run no body is forcing you & you don't have to follow this tradition.... Socialise with people that have same believes like yours.-

We have to reject the people who are taking dowry. Make them untouchables or even worst.
