Use Hamachi. This software creates a virtual LAN network over the Internet. Both computers are received a virtual IP's and then you can use these PC such normal LAN network. Hamachi is absolutely free , and you can downloaded it from : www.hamachi.cc .
Note : You need to install the Hamachi on both computers.

Go to www.downloads.com & when you get on the catagory you'd like to look through,make your search a 'filtered' search.You'll see that option at the top of the page.click & put what kind of os you are running,then click on free for the filter to filter the results. It would be called a 'compress' type of application your looking for.
