Deepens how good you are in your work, if you ar very very good you can negotiating, if you are not so good in what you do then you must stay after your chief well....!!!

the way I do is that, telling them they pay compatative rate and you ask them how much do they offer for this position. If they say the amount between that you want, tell them that's what you are looking for. When they offer you a job, they will tell you how much they will pay. If it is in the low pay for that position, tell them that you will like to see that come up a bit more or take what they offer if you really want the job and you think you can do the job better so that you will get a raise soon.
