~ aaron j
~ You didn't give us much input as to your background. If this was a resume of your skills, I would have to say:
~ ~ I see no experience
~ ~ I see no previous work history
~ ~ Our minimum wage is $8.00 per hour... how can I hire someone with no experience or work history for $12 or MORE per hour?
~ Let us know something of your background... your age... the part of the country/world your in... justification for the $12/hour.
~ Usually, aaron j... a specific TRADE can get you higher hourly income... or a specific skill that others may not have. Focus on the areas where our talents/skills could provide the most income (hard labor... knowledge... specific training... etc).
~ In the future, try to get OUT of the hourly pay catagory and into a Business Owner catagory.
~ The HOURLY employee TRADES TIME FOR MONEY
~ The SELF EMPLOYEED people (doctors, lawyers, dentists, nurses, mom/pop store owners, etc.) are ALSO TRADING TIME FOR MONEY
These people (Employees and Self Employed) people are making 5% of the United States' wealth, and they represent 95% of the population!... YES... 95% of us are only creating 5% of the wealth of the USA.
The Self Employed loose money if they want to take a 2week vacation... they have to pay all the bills of the office and staff and insurance... before they can compute how much (if any) they get AFTER expenses. Take a day off of work to see the doctor or play a game of golf? How much will it cost the business? Hard choices to keep the business afloat.
--- but, there are two other catagories ---
Investors and Business Owners generate 95% of the Wealth of the USA, and they are only 5% of the population.
Investors have mega millions to invest... if they drop a million on a stock today and loose the whole thing tomorrow, they wouldn't miss it... You and I are (no doubt) not in this category of wealth), so we'll not consider this as a good job (till we are rich like them... hehe).
But... the way to success is to be a Business Owner. A business owner will have a source of money flowing into his accounts... like a pipe line... a residual source of income.
Take a burger franchise for example... take a million bucks from your own savings... invest in the franchise (which eliminates your going bankrupt from lack of knowledge)... and you have a steady stream of income... there was a plan to follow.
There are other opportunities out there to allow you to get a business MUCH cheaper... be given better tax breaks by the IRS/FTB... etc.

You are going to need a LOT more information than this to get a decent answer. What are your qualifications? What experience do you have? What skills? What references? Where do you live? Are you willing to move? If so, where? How old are you? What is your education level? What are your career goals? What are your interests? What classes have you taken? What computer skills do you possess? What are your past jobs? Have you ever won any awards? Where do you see yourself in ten years? What are you willing to do? Can you lift more than 45 pounds? 95 pounds? Do you work well on your own? Do you work well in a team? Do you have any management experience? Can you write well? How is your grammar? Do you have a resume? A cover letter?
etc. etc. etc. etc. There is no magic $12 an hour job out there. You have to be qualified for it, and you do not say a single thing about yourself here. Try Monster.com or something and make a resume. Good luck!

Hi there~
I can only help by sharing my own experience since I do not know more about yours~
So let me share a but of my story with you~ Keep in mind when I started, I was unemployed, had no pc, no experience, was trying to support my family and at one of the lowest points in my life~ ok
I am a single mom of one~ and 27 yrs old~
I was fortunate enough to break free from the everyday cycle of a J O B and own my own business~ I work from home now helping change people's lives which in turn added so much happiness into mine~
I am paid on a residual basis, which means I do the work once and get paid over the lifetime of my kids, n their kids etc.~ Just like a singer who makes one cd and gets paid royalties over a lifetime~ Which has helped put a lot of everyday stresses and worries to rest~
This to me is very important since I do not have any inventory or overhead to worry about and the start up cost was under 50.00~ It takes the hassle of liability out of my sucess~
The company I have a partnership with is 4 yrs old and not only did over 48+ Million their first year in business, but are on track to break the one Billion dollar mark in the next 3 yrs which will put them in the top three, if not top spot for the fastest growing company EVER~ So no need to look back~
I have an international business from the comfort of home~
I love what I do~
It has allowed me to travel for both business and pleasure~ It has allowed me to be with my family fulltime~ I now feel alive, like I can actually breath again~
And for the first time in my life, I actually feel like I am living not just exsiting~
The company also pays for some very exotic travel pleasures which is nice, but the best thing about what I do is seeing the change I make in others lives which in turn allows me to now only feel blessed at the end of everyday, but also to be able to finally live my dreams while still awake rather then only imagining them in my sleep~ Maybe that is one route you can take~ What ever you choose, May God Lead You To Your Destiny~
Warmest Regards~
Issy
