best advice i can give is go to your local citizens advice or jobcentre they have trained people who know all the benefits. If you are not entitled to statutory maternity pay you can claim maternity allowance. 1 thing i do know is if get income support when the baby is born you can claim a 1 off payment of £500 this is worth thinking about. The housing is a difficult matter they will not include a baby until its born but you dont have to relie on the council to house you you can look to rent privately then apply for housing benefit they will look at you and partners (if he lives there full time) income and work out what you are entitled to (i think if you go to your local councils website you can add the figures and find out then and there) I think you should get an appointment with a housing advisor and remember everyone is also entitled to child benefit get some appointments as paper work can take an age Congratulations and good luck

Tell the council that you and your partner are homeless due to a argument with the people you were living with, and make sure your family Willl tell them this as they will have to write a letter or tell this in person, the council will then make you fill out a form where you would like to go its not for sure you will get a house as there is many more people with 2/3 kids waiting you will prob end up with a flat, and also will have to show them a scan pic and some information to show that you are pregnant and they wil have to take a copy of this, they should find you somewhere to live within 2 weeks of all the information, good luck with your pregnancy and finding a house.

Hi, if you have been in employment with any company for 26 weeks then you will be entitled to maternity allowance, it is 108.00 per week, and you'll start to get it when you finish work. As for the council, it depends on the area that you live in and weather or not the housing list is big/small. It also depends on the size of the property you are living in at the minute, you will need to contact the council and put in an application for a propert.
I wish you the best of luck xx

You will only be offered housing if you are destitute and so far the waiting list for people who aren't destitute and need a council property is over 12 years!!! My friend had a baby last November, she lives with her partner in a small one bed place and can't afford anything bigger, they went to the council and were put on the waiting list but were told that there was a 12 year waiting time.
You best bet is to try and save for a place in time, you still have a while or to find a DSS place.
Even if you were to tell the council that you are destitute there's still no guarantee they will house you in time, some people are put up in a bed and breakfast for a while.
I hope this helps.

Hi, I've been in similar situation, and yet again I'm also pregnant with my third. If you've beeen paying national insurance while you've been temping you should be entitled to maternity allowance, as long as you've been earning £30 or more a week. If your are not entiltled to this you should then be able to clain incapacity benifit. I've just been filling in the forms for mat allowance and am waiting to hear.
You should contact your nearest Jobcentre plus they should help you, be warned there may be alot of form filling, which I know can be stressful, but once you've done it you'll be happier knowing that you'll have another income source.
As with housing you need to go to your council and fill a council housing form, also get your parents to write a letter kicking you out. In order for you to get a house as quickly as poss, you should complain lots to the council constantly. You could even get help from your doctor if it's effecting your heath i.e emotinally, it may trigger depression.
It's quite alot for you to do, but with the support from your parents and partner you will get there. Hope this helps and good luck.

There is no clear cut answer - it depends on your local council, what properties are available and your home life - i.e are you currently in what they deem as 'adequate housing'? Contact your council asap giving details of your due date, combined salary, savings, where you live etc and take it from there. They won't see you on the street but if they feel you qualify for housing you may still only be offered a mother and baby unit or a bedsit but it's a start. Good luck x

I was in the same situation as you are when i was pregnant with my first. If u go to your local council they will get you to fill out a form about your living situation and then you will have an interview about thetype of property your after and the area you want to go. They will then put you on the council list and whan a property comes up that suits your criteria, they will get in contact with youto show you the property. If you go down there asap, hopefully you should get some where before the baby is born. hope this helps

Get your mum to write a letter saying that she wants you out because there won't be enough room for you and your baby.
Take this to the council and stress that you are going to be homeless on such a date.
Stress that you don't get on with your mum and she will definitely be throwing you out. If foreigners can come and lie and get houses why shouldn't you when you are entitled. The council should refer you to a department which can help. Good luck.

This has a tendency to selection in terms of the place you're in the rustic. i'm able to with a honest degree of certainty say very few human beings on advantages get everywhere close to £25,000 a three hundred and sixty 5 days. Housing earnings is the only that particularly receives abused and thats now been capped by technique of the government, so which you will no longer get such stupid quantities being recieved. residing on advantages is a terrible existence, you scrape by technique of. you would be unable to punish the human beings who want state earnings because of the tiny share that abuse the equipment, its no longer honest. the difficulty is likewise blown out of share by technique of the superb suited wing media. might human beings relatively the adult males who lost their jobs in the recession in basic terms starve? residing in Britian isn't all leafy suburbs, with anybody possessing their domicile and going to the costa del sol each and every summer season. in many components there is largely 0 artwork for some human beings, and in another components you get actually hundreds of persons employing for one activity. I stay in Cornwall, its between the poorest components in Europe, even below some components of places like Poland. In Cornwall we've an somewhat unique concern in that the vacationer marketplace (and the actuality its a great place to retire) artificially inflates domicile expenditures above what they might desire to be for a community thats detrimental like ours. The tourism marketplace is in basic terms too unreliable and seasonal for persons to particularly count on and we've no longer any time-honored marketplace because of the fact effectual government closed the mines and fishing/farming is often decline. In a community like this what are you able to do? hundreds of persons would be unable to all artwork in Tesco.
