I am trying to get pregnant. I have a regular 31 day cycle and predicted my optimum day of the 6th March 2007, my 17th day of cycle. I did an OPK on the 5th which showed me I had detected my LH surge. I had Intercourse on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th of March. Had I covered all bases. My husband was a bit concerned that having sex every day may diminish to quality of the semen. Any advice?
xx

It is true that you should only have intercourse every other day so the sperm has time to build up and "re-supply". But this advice is mostly given to men who have a lower sperm count. If your hubby has not been tested I would suggest that he is. That way you know for sure what his count is. If you do every day maybe think about doing it in the morning one day, than at night the next day. Sperm can live up to 5 days in the right environment, so don't worry to much!

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! It was the hardest time of my life and I completely understand where you are coming from.
If you can't get pregnant withing 6 months then it's time to head off to the doctor and get all the tests done(unforturnately, most of the tests are done on the woman).

If you ever need to talk to anyone who really has gone thru all the tests, had a miscarriage, a failed adoption.........and finally ended up pregnant and delivered a wonderful boy and then a girl then feel free to keep my email address to talk. I know that feeling of desperation and sometimes it just helps to talk to someone who has gone thru the same thing.
