I have recently just bought the dove holiday skin. I have fair skin, and have bought the one specified for my skin colour. I just wondered if anyone else has any tips to stop it going streaky. Also if says use daily, it is already put quite abit of colour on me after two days, do i stop or when i get in the shower will it fade? Thank you in advance! x

Sometimes I mix it with regular lotion. It helps stop the streaking.

Always make sure you exfoliate before applying fake tan. This way when you skin naturally gets rid of any dead skin, the tan won't come off with it and will prolong a blotchy tan. It is also a good idea to moisturise particularly if you have dry skin, but make sure it is properly soaked in before tanning.
A common mistake people make with fake tanning (especially if they are worried of the tan being too dark in colour or make then look orange) is thinking the less they apply, the more natural and light the tan will be. This is definitely not a good idea. The best thing you can do when applying tan is ensuring that you are using a sufficient amount of tanning lotion and never be stingy. Make sure that you applying it evenly and not trying to spread a small amount over your entire body. If the amount of lotion you are using is not covering much before you run out, just get more. Don't try to spread whatever you already have and this will definitely cause streaks and an uneven result.
The great thing about Holiday Skin is that it is already mixed with moisturiser so it is a very light application and is fine to use every day to build up a natural even tan. However if you feel that is is still getting a little dark in colour for your liking just mix it with a little mosituriser. I personally recommend Dove Body Silk, but if you have a preferred moisturiser that is fine too.
Hope this helped, and feel free to send me a message if you have anymore questions.

I don't think daily tans such as dove are all that great. You have to take care to put them everywhere every night or they do go streaky (also them not being coloured adds to it being easier to end up with streaks). Instead try fake bake - it is more expensive but you only need to use it once a week and it has a dark colour so you can see it. Dont bother using exfoliating products as they just end up down the plughole. Instead use exfoliating gloves (books or body shop) and shower gel and scrub really well. Also buy a big bottle of E45 to moisturise every night. Good luck!

when you apply the dove lotion use the palm of your hand and not your fingers as this is the main cause for streaking it will fade in the shower but only if you use a hard scrunchy to wash with if you use a sponge or flannel it will not fade to much but as you shed skin all the time it will fade when you get the colour you want then use one day on one day off on the off day use a good moisturiser to keep the skin soft and smooth

Just use a small bit first and blend it really well until your skin is dry to touch. Then blend the same amount again. Leave dry areas like your knees, elbows, ankles till last and just blend whatever cream is around the area into these areas to avoid the orangy look. Be sure to wash your hands afterwards (with cold water) as hot water will make the colour adhese to your hands.
