One suggestion I'd make is to go back to their website and check faq's or go to a contact tab and click on it. I can't imagine if you ask respectfully that they personally would deny you that info.

I suspect however, that answer number one is either spot on or close, geographically speaking. Sadly this country has outsourced so much of our gross national product, and labor, it's possible there are less than 100 major brand names actually assembled here or have parts created here.

probably, Hitachi...i dunno. My one deere has a yanmar motor, the other a kawasaki. wtf
