i would say the cost of living in Kuala Lumpur is pretty cheap. For a couple to survive basic comfortable living monthly i would say RM5000-RM8000 and above.
Rent: 1500 and above (condo or terrace house)
Utilities: internet, electricity, water utility, phone, cable tv rm600 +-
Transportation expenses: 1 car incl fuel and road toll, rm 2000 and above +- (however there are cheaper car consuming less fuel, my calculation based on Rm1600 per car monthly payment)
Weekly groceries: Rm 200/Monthly:Rm800
Shopping, restaurant dining not included in this Rm5000 budget. Up to individual's spending power.

Of course this amount can be less but it all boils down on how u wish it to be. Like use less utilities, renting a tiny flat of three bedroom could only cost Rm700 in a high density community area. All depends on the area and how u wish to live your life. It is okay to pay slightly more if u live in an area where all amenities are nearby rather than living in a cheaper place but somewhat far away from everything else, u will end up having to pay more on petrol and road toll. have a look around and decide. I am sure u did not wish to live in a crowded high density flats and having to endure listening to karaoke singing sessions of the area folks, every weekend from morning til midnight.

Wow it is extremely intense-high quality income you're getting! With RM6800 you have got an exceedingly soft existence right here in KL, presented of cos, the way you spent it. As for the tax no longer so particular cos my income isn't taxable.

Its all depends on your lifestyle.. simple? middle average? or maybe luxury?

Me and my hubby..normally will spend on average RM 5k - RM6k expenditure on households, maintenance..and also kids..we would also will allocate for savings and our kids fund...

so perhaps the cost of living for 2 people.i would say RM3-4k should be enough?

EditL azayi1, yalahh..we have to....wants to live in comfortably living in kl will somehow will cekik darah sikit...
