I worried all of the way through my pregnancy that my stomach was too small and when compared to woman in my classes, it was even smaller. It was all in my head though. Looking back on pictures now I realise my size was fine and I had a baby over 8 pounds, which was bigger than the womens babies I had been comparing myself to. Take a breath and relax. Everything will be fine. Try not to compare to others - everyone is different.

The only person who can answer that would be your doctor, some women don't get as large as others. Also if this is your first pregnancy you won't get as big as someone on their second or third. Your baby will be here in just a few short days to weeks and you will be able to see for yourself. As long as your doctor has voiced no concerns you shouldn't worry. Good Luck and God Bless.

Every woman is different. Some babies ar bigger than other, some smaller. I'm pretty short 5ft 2 and my babies were almost 10 pounds. In my first pregnancy I was pretty tiny, but with my last baby, I was the size of a house. Your stomach muscles relax under the strain..
I know one woman (mother of two healthy babies) who was so tiny she was refused maternity benefits!
Size is no indication of problems - in fact, bigger babies can have more dangerous illnesses.
Don't worry, your baby is fine.

no that means that everybodys body is different. you werent big before pregnancy, so unless you ate absolutely everything in sight than you wouldnt be huge pregnant. some people r naturally bigger and some eat like cows when pregnant. when people asked me how faR ALONG i was with my third child i looked not as far along either and all my babies r just fine. dont worry your dr. would have perscribed extra vitamins or supplements if something was wrong. less than a week to go. congrats

Please do not worry at all. Your gain of 28 pounds is perfect. Most pregnant women gain more than required and they have a harder time losing them later. As for your case, please rest assured that your weight gain is perfectly normal and so will your baby's health and weight be. Just fyi, i am a nurse. So don't worry and look forward to receiving your lovely healthy baby soon! Cheers!

bigger bellies often mean the women are just eating way too much, if the doctor thought there was anything wrong with the baby he would tell you, you have gained almost 30 pounds, thats quite enough.

*hugs*
Calm down girl..!! Your weight gain is fine, and everyone carries their pregnancy different...
If it's seriously bothering you though, talk to your doctor about it :) and maybe increase the amount that you're eating... though by 38 weeks, your pretty close to being done
Congrats on having a boy!!
