Don't you think that's stupid how they just give them the boot and then they ask them to sing again, especially when they are all emotional about losing? I think that's really rubbing it in don't you think?

Don't feel bad about it, but it seems like torture for the audience to have a singer recreate the performance that was so awful that America rejected it huge numbers

I never really thought about it until the night Alaina got voted off. Before this, most of the "losers" kept their cool and gave a decent last performance and walked away. Alaina was a good choice to leave the show, but it broke my heart that she couldn't even sing her song she was crying so hard. I almost cried with her, it was so sad.

It's also giving them a chance to redeem themselves.

Once it gets down to as close as it is, these people are all talented (minus that 17 yr old girly boy), and it gives them one last chance to show what they've got.

If you do a little research you'll notice that randy jackson actually signs quite a few of the idol rejects soon after they loose.

I think they give them their last chance to impress someone out there who could possibly give them a job. It's more exposure for them. That's why they need to sing well...even at their last minute on tv...even when they are emotional.

I think if people wanted to see who they wanted in they should have "CALLED IN AND VOTED." But you are right they shouldn't have rubbed it in. I hope that they have a wildcard night like they did the year clay aiken was the 2nd place winner up.

I agree. I wouldn't be able to sing if it was me. I think it's really lame to have them sing.
