Does a successful marriage mean a brain dead woman?

when a woman marries, she surrenders her name, home, identity, life, and is labelled as a second class citizen.High time we changed the system. no?

marriage does not mean a women has to be brain dead. it just means that when a women and a man get married. they become one soul. a good marriage means the woman is protected by her husband. it does NOT mean the woman is treated like a second class citizen

In our society it is 'yes'.Here a woman is called a good wife who never shows an opposition to the deeds that her husband does.In the way of life, events may come to act which is beyond her ethics or the education that she is carrying with her only for the sake of the maintenance of a stable and successful marriage.In this respect she has to kill her brain and act as a robot rather than a human being.It happens particularly to those ladies who are either financially not independent or very much dedicatory towards their family.But the ultimate goal is often a big zero and the only loser is the 'good wife'.

THAT my friend is not always true.

When my wife & I got married,she DID NOT take my name I TOOK HERS.

Identity: this cannot be taken away & only a fool would give it away anymore.

Unfortunatly,society still considers women 2nd class...you think I'm wrong?? look at the pay scales for men & women.

Lastly,I most definately agree; the system needs to be changed so that ALL PEOPLE are paid equally.

The way things are today, the pay scales are usually as follows:

1)White Males
2)White females
3)Black Males
4)Hispanic Males
5)Black Females,Hispanic Females

Now please don't get mad at ME for stating this,this is only what I have seen happen.

As per the way indian marriages have been taking place-arranged by and large,
the thinking of a woman stops there itself.
coz she is not allowed to choose the man she has to spend the rest of her whole life with.
She meekly submits to the elders choices.
She cannot then go on to analyse the man after marriage becoz if she begins to do so,she may not like him(watever reasons and rationale)

So in a way , yes!, she has to "stop" her thinking n reasoning to a large extent- if that's wat ur asking by meaning brain dead

Many people follow the tradition ignorantly that doesn’t mean it is wrong and should be changed. Ignorant followers and those who thinks it is high time change the system both are stigmatic to the best tradition. All the rules regarding this, applies to both the sides simultaneously. dont ever change the system...bcoz its a good system we r havin now...in todays society women hav got much more freedom and i think they r misusing it....so women must be suppressed after her marriage...women is always a second class citizen and it should be lik that always...
