In a man, this situation could occur because of the infection in the urethra or more commonly infection in the prostate gland. In clinical practice, the most common cause for this is too frequent or too infrequent orgasms (masturbation or sexual intercourse) i.e. if he don’t indulge in intercourse for 4 weeks, and suddenly if you indulge 4 times in a week. Was he drinking, sometimes after the consumption of alcohol and having intercourse causes a painful feeling after ejaculation.

Either he has a uninary track infection or one of you has a "STD" both of you need to get tested.
