what connections do I need ?.or what is it needed ...in order for me to be able to chat online on one monitor...and at the same time ...on another monitor be able to watch a movie that I loaded unto computer modem ?

well your computer would need to have to graphic connection, eg if you look at the back of the machine you will notice where your monitor connects there is a port, there needs to be 2 ports for what your asking, eg dual monitor connections, most graphics cards these days come with 2. if you only have one, then you would need to upgrade the graphics card, which has dual connections.
well if you graphics card has two ports just connect the 2nd monitor and then drag the video etc across to the other screen from your main screen.

just dual head video card or two cards....
Under windows or driver there are two setups...
Clone and seperate....
Clone mode is copy of screen 1, Dual is wide desktop.... Google "Dual Display"
