Terrorism:
You might think of arabs as crazy people that drive planes into buildings, and kill innocent people. Well let me tell you how its actually is. I dont agree with 9/11 or the mass killing that some people do. Dont think that we are living all in civil wars killing each other all the time, its not actually like this. There is a lot of points you guys think of and here what makes you think we are terrorists, well not all of us are, and not only we are, for example, no insult this is not a blog to inult or blame anyone, U.S has many terrorists, and with a high rate then any country, the people you see on tv holding flags and slaughtering poor innocent people, are defending their country from invaders, who came in and made anarchy more then the country was in, and i am talking about Iraq, no mass destruction weapons found, oil taken and then they say they want to change the government.

Well no one will like for example Egypt (i am from Egypt) come over to U.S invade it and set you another government setting, you would propably do as we did. I am not saying its right to kill innocent people, but put your place instead of the them. Please i want you to discuss it with me, do in comments and say your opinion and i will answer you.

Camels, deserts and stupid people with long beard and clothes
Now deserts are deserts, doesnt mean we are stupid people who run after their camels cause this thing is gone now. Now most deserts in the arab world is being built or taken from it oil which america use. Beards and stupid clothes is a type of tradition that small precentage of arabs and its getting rare, just like the native americans!
Do You Agree?

Personally I don't spend much time thinking of them at all , in a positive or negative way.

But then I also don't spend much time thinking about German, Japanese , Bolivian , or the people who live two streets over from me.

I spend my time trying to support my family & myself & hoping to leave this world just a wee bit better than I found it.

Now that you have asked, I would suppose Arabian folks are thinking in similar terms. I have no preconceived impressions of their dress or decor.

But do folks around the world believe all Americans are well fed , well clothed , & live in decadent excess?

Egypt has had terrorist attacks also. I remember watching the assassination of Anwar Sadat by extremist. I believe what the America people would like to see are the Imams and more Moslem's condemnn terrorism and not just condem it but actually do something more substantial to help stop it Your country receives a few billion in aid from us every year. I would like to see some of that go into fighting terrorist. I would like to know if Egypt is against terrorism why do they not offer troops in Iraq. We would like to see a more robust outcry from the middle east. Some of the press has spoken out in Egypt and I know that they take their lives in their hands when they do, but like the American far left press who never have anything good to say about our President or the efforts of his appointed staff and Congress that reversed the Torricelli Doctrine that cut the legs out from under our ability to gather intelligence. We have not had an terrorist attack since 9-11. Even though the left here does all it can to undermine the efforts of the President . They devulge methods used to track those that wish us harm and believe they have done the American people a service. You also have newspapers that praise those that kill indiscriminately. We suffered a terrible attack by Wahhabi extremist and we have nuts that want people to believe that Present Bush planned and carried it out. So we are aware of just how crazy and blinded by hate people can become. That they become irrational and say and do things that normal people just can't understand how logic and reason cannot get through to them. If terrorism is to ever be defeated it must also be fought by education on your end and fought by arms also like it is on ours. Freedom is the enemy of the terrorist. We believe that God is the author of Freedom and all men should be free. The Kurds would disagree with most of what you say. They made and played a commercial on American T.V. thanking America for their freedom. Most of Iraq is under control of local Iraqi governments. The Iraqi's are slowly taking control and we will stand with them till they are independant. The is no perfect war. Mistakes will always be made because no matter how well the planning is you cannot make your foe go by your plan. In these days of instant gradifacition and a generation of Americans that never had to work or fight for anything and take their rights for granted and do not even realize that they do, want everything now and that includes winning the war on terror. Not all Moslems are terrorist. but all terrorist have been Moslem. Isreal and the U.S. did not create terrorist. This is where your arguement fails and you lose credibility as wanting to have a rational dialog. This exposes you as just another extremist.

I see much that I could agree with by your statements, but I also see a lot of hypocrisy. First, I have never supported the invasion of Iraq, not because I took pleasure of seeing Saddam slaughter his own innocent people, but because Saddam was a buffer between Islamic fundamentalist nations such as Iran and Syria. There was a mutual hatred between Saddam and Ahmadinejad and the Shiia mullahs, and between Bin Laden and the extremists that you have stated stains true Islam. Why didn't other Arab nations come in to Iraq to protect innocent men, women and children from being slaughtered by the hundreds of thousands from the hands of Saddam and his henchmen? Arab nations, Islamic nations, time-and-time again have shown a lack of courage in standing up for your true faith when it comes to the downtrodden and mistreated peoples of other nations. Why? In many of Muslim countries there is sectarian violence that has nothing to do with Israel or the US. Even in Palestine, they are unable to form a unity government. Again, sectarian violence reigns supreme. I could list a dozen countries, your's included, where violence stems from different Islamic sects, stemming from the assassination of Anwar Sadat. If it wasn't for US aid, Israel would have over-run Egypt by now, and they would still be in the Sinai and Gaza strip. There would have not been an Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty (Thank you, President Carter). When Iraq had WMD why didn't Egypt stand up to Iraq and demand an end to the killing? As for oil taken, we haven't taken any of it. It was going to be used to finance construction of the Iraqi infrastructure, but extremists have chosen to blow up pipelines and control stations so it won't happen. I admire your culture, your religion, your nation of Egypt, but your government is corrupt, you are in a virtual dictatorship, & you, too, have sectarian violence. You have little room to point fingers at any other nation, including Israel or the US, until you clean up your own house. In the US, at least we have full freedoms of expression, press, and religion. In Israel, they have the same rights. I doubt if you can say that about your own nation. Hosni Mubarak holds your jail cell keys. Worry about that.

Not all Americans believe that all Arabians are terrorists. While there are many people who try to lump all people of a certain ethnicity into the same category, those who do, do not represent the majority (although they claim to). Like the previous answerer stated, all cultures have their share of nut jobs, the trick is to separate those from the normal ones. No matter where you come from, you should have pride in your heritage, and be accepting of others based on their personal actions, not those of the lunatic fringe.

First of all, learn english before you attempt to write it. Second, if theyre killing invaders from other countries who are they killing and from what countries. Because i dont see them killing Americans if that was what you were reffering to. They are killing theyre own people. If we're there to take oil why is gas so high over here. And as for WMD's before the war even the U.N. said Saddam had them. I dont know about you but I would hope if we had a tyrant who was killing a certain ethnic group in our country and we couldnt do anything about it because we were that powerless to do it on our own, I would hope someone would help us. Its not our fault the Iraqi's are screwing it all up for themselves.

I don't think anyone here in the states has a fundmental problem with arabs...except maybe their business practices here.

We have a problem with islamo-facists and miltiant muslims who want the whole world to live like it is the year 1723.

Lets break up the question however, Iraq is a whold different conversation. I will sum up my position regarding Iraq as this:

If not Iraq? Where. We have to fight somewhere.

ALL Religions have their nuts, always have and always will. No one single event or person (group) is to blame its an accumulation of many things over many centuries, like the fight between the Shiites and Sunni's that is many centuries old....not sure America can be blamed for brother against brother before the US was even created.

Don't worry, you guys' turn in the barrel will be over before you know it!

We used to pick on the East Asians there for awhile , calling them Japs, Gooks, Chinks and what not and accusing them of being godless communists. Then the Chinese fought us to a standstill in Korea and the Vietnamese whipped our arses and forced us to flee in the middle of the night in our underwear so now they are our best buddies.

When President Bush was in Vietnam at the Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Stock Exchange last November, he declared:"If I were still a young man, I'd move to Vietnam!". That from a fellow who had avoided active service during the Vietnam War. Maybe in 30 years, another US president will make a similar remark about wanting to move to Baghdad or Kabul to live and make money?

Learn from those inscrutable East Asians and be patient. Very patient!

I'm American...and I agree with you 100% brother. I think President Bush is the biggest Terrorist on the Planet. I'm sure you people are very good people. I feel bad about Bush's war in Iraq. I wish there is something I can do.

Next week there will be a big protest here in the United States. To impeach Bush and end the war. I will be there doing my part.

Be careful my friend and God Bless.

Not all arabs but some: like yourself definitely are crazy.
How come prominent Muslim religious leaders do not condemn terrorists who kill innocent people in the name of Allah.
Killing is never holy. Killing is sin. Not denouncing the murderers, not reporting them not trying to stop them is a sin.
