Immigration isn't the problem with NAFTA, American jobs going to Mexico is the problem. Our factories are closing at a record pace because companies can pay someone $3.00 a day to do a job in Mexico that it would cost $160.00 a day or more for an American to do. Dodge cars and Converse shoes are made there on the cheap, but for some reason, they don't see fit to pass the savings along to the people who buy thier crap! Clinton screwed us all with NAFTA.

Wasn't NAFTA part of the reason why Brian Mulroney lost his job? for signign NAFTA and losing jobs in the car industry? Jobs moved back to Detroit. Jobs but not the Canadians who lost their jobs.

The effect of NAFTA on immigration is minor and should be ignored. Trade creates value (Karl Marx blew this one big time), so anything which is done to faciltate trade is a good thing.

We are part of NAFTA and we have no immigration problems.-Canada, tho NAFTA sucks and America only wants to hide behind it when it suits them, like softwood lumber.

Those who are hurt by illegal immigration (have children in public schools, need social security when older, may need social services for their elderly or in emergencies) are not the ones who benefit from NAFTA.
NAFTA was NOT put to a public referendum.

That's the United States Government for you. You can not blame this one on G.W.Bush tho. It's "Slick Willie" Clinton's fault; he had a chance to veto it but signed it into law instead.
