Although I haven't seen the clip , I agree w your premise. I recall seeing several 3 second clips over the years depicting an officer slamming someone face first on to a car hood or some similar momentary act of seemingly unprovoked violence.
Bottom line is , we didn't see what happened in the minutes/moments just before the incident. Had the person just inflicted injury on the officer or a partner? Had they just done something else we don't see to bring on a momentary violent act by the officer? Who knows? And I'm not saying one justifys the other , police are charged w maintaining self control in all situations.
It makes for good television so they play & replay & replay. these events. An incident like the Rodney King beating is inexcusable , EVER , but on occasion the men & women protecting us from violent criminals may need to exert themselves physically to establish control of a suspect or situation. If they go over the line they deserve to be punished , but not trial by media!!

If you dont think that being African American has nothing to do with it than you dont know jack. Do you have any idea what Africans americans have been through at all? And the history of police and African American relations. Im not saying the popo was wrong but race is an issue. And as far as the media- their full of junk anyways. All they care about is ratings. They too are turning into polititions. Aint that something.

Presumably you are talking about the woman punched by a police officer. This woman is a convicted criminal - found guilty in a court of law. Has seen the vt footage and thought, I can make a fast buck here. Better still, she is black so she can pull the race card out - she can't believe her luck. This needs to be stopped -it's draining our resources and wasting our time - it's nothing to do with colour - she was treated like this because she is a criminal not black.

Yes in my opinion I think your right about them just trying to make money off it,
That's the only reason we get any info on any thing because some one gets to sell commercials on the brakes in between the news. It is such a shame we are all subject to the media no matter if we are the victim or the accused.

I agree with you, although there are some police officers who enjoy brutality. In general I believe is all mass media's fault just to increase their circulation, but in this way they tie up police "hands".

She thought - "Im black, Im lower class, Im never gettin out of this hell hole BUT if i play the racism card then bingo i get away from anything apart from the colour of my skin but that is useful for playing the racism card"
Get the policeman to speak to the same people that she is apparently giving interviews to and hear both their voices - i bet hers trembles before his.....
