You don't have to get a license to get married - you get a marriage license, when you get married.

Wow l like the idea very much and It is about time people learn something from your question. Every three marriage and one get a divorce. I am sorry to hear my friends' stories and some of them can be fixed at no time. The sad part is children will always pay his and her own price. The worst is my happy family is in the buffer state and these broken families ( children ) who attend the same classes with my children always create more crisis in my children classrooms. I wonder why they, parents can not work harder and do better for the sake of their children. This is my personal opinion, and I take full responsibility for my answer. Because, I am telling the world the real truth and the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Why should you get one for a divorce? You're not entering into a contract with anyone. You are infact BREAKING the marriage contract. When you get a driver's license when you break the law with your vehicle enough times do you need a license to loose your driving priveliges?

Why marry?

Why divorce?

Just live life without kissing the expensive hands of church and state.

Adam and Eve had no marriage license. Are you better than them?

Why, it's hard enough to get divorced w/out a license. You already have to get the judges' ok first.

Yea, but it is called a pre-nup agreement.

Ironic post script. You need a marriage license to get married, but not to have children.

Probably not because there is invested a lot in a marriage. Some couples will not come to an agreement on their own. n

How about to have children?

I believe that you do have to get clarity to get divorced or get approval. Its a lenghty process....with courts and legal docs involved.

best wishes
