The big three at The Giza Plateau are, the Pyramid of Khufu,The Pyramid of Khafre and The Pyramid of Menkare.
All were Pharaohs of the 4th dynasty of The Old Kingdom. All are constructed of limestone known as "white stone" by their builders
Khufu's pyramid is known to many as, The Great Pyramid.
Beside it stand the remains of the pyramids of two of of his favorite Queens and the pyramid of his Mother.
Unfortunately their pyramids have not survived time as well, but they are identifiable and have been well researched and documented.
Recently, Dr Zahi Hawass located The Great Pyramids capstone as well as a small cult pyramid at the sth west corner of the pyramid.
The ancient Egyptians knew it as, "Khufu's Horizon"
Pharoah Khafre's pyramid was called, "Khafre is Great" by its builders and in ancient times.
It can appear slightly taller than that of Khufu's, but this is only because it is built on a slightly heigher part of The Giza Plateau.
Pharoah Menkhare's Pyramid is the smallest of the three and was called "Menkhare is Divine".
There is evidence it is likely this pyramid was never actually fully completed.
Belonging to this pyramid and its ajoining complex, are three small aligned pyramids, built near the south wall. It is thought that these proberly belonged to his favorite consorts.
The three structures are surrounded by the ruins of a containing wall.
So if we count them all up, there are ten recognized pyramids at the Giza site.
The three of the Pharoah's. Six others, belonging to favored female family members, and one cult pyramid.
It could be very likely that, there exist other small cult pyramid's or thier remains.
As has often been said, only about 30% of known likley remaining monuments, temples and tombs have so far been accounted for.

There are three main Old Kingdom pyramids: They are all three known together as the Giza Plateau or Giza necropolis.
Built by the 4th Dynasty, each named for the pharaoh who had them built: Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.
So theres three in that same small space touching each other.
To the south-west of the Great Pyramid lies the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre which be the second largest.
And be the smallest.
Khafre's pyramid was began building year of 2558 BC.
The tops are covered in white limestone, but not the whole thing.
Theres the suburbs of Cairo be near and right behind them !
