it was created by a student-geek from the philippines. he was taking an IT-related course and was expelled from school, although the school somewhat gained popularity for that. he was not imprisoned, because there was no IT-related law in the philippines. instead he was sent to some social welfare institution.
he had an australian accomplice when he let out the virus. it reached as far as the white house and the pentagon.

It's a virus with humble origins. Set loose in the Philippines only yesterday, within 24 hours the 'I Love You' virus had brought multi-national companies to their knees.

It hasn't been out long enough for them to learn that yet. You can bet that whomever did it will get caught . It has attacked Department of Defense computers and Federal Reserve computers. You can bet the Feds will put everything they've got into catching this person.

i dont get those guys.some people use their computers as tools,not just for porn and pissing other ppl off.then some clown wrecks your computer cause hes got nothing better to do.doesnt even get anything out of it.i think interpol should go after those guys and give them LIFE in a filthy rat infested jail cell.
