Right now, it is cold. However, it is a wonderful city. There are plenty of parks, museums, theaters, restaurants, and bars. The lakefront is gorgeous with over 20 miles of running trails.
It's the best city in America!

It has the best food 24/7 Don't believe me? Move to St Louis and see how many all night restaurants and hot dog/beef and sausage stands you find! Chicago is the best!

In the summer, there may be no better place on Earth. There are outdoor concerts, great restaurants with outdoor seating, world-class museums within walking distance of each other, a vibrant downtown, lots of walkable neighborhoods, dozens of great bars, even more crappy bars, Cubs games, Sox games, Blues Fest . . .
In the winter, we build character. We receive five to six months of brutality, and it keeps us from becoming spoiled rotten.

Its amazing. There is so much to do all the time. Doesn't matter what your into you can always find something. Great restaurants, bars, hotel, shopping, Navy Pier, and so much more. Can't forget the Sox & Bears also. Sorry to be so brief, I could go on and on but I gotta go.

Hot and sticky in the summer, cold and nasty in the winter, but on the rare days when the weather is nice, it can be quite delightful. There is a good selection of cultural features.

This question has been asked SOOO many times. You might want to do a search to see what the previous answers have been. But in a nutshell: great. Lots to see or do. Cold winters, sure. But great summers.

My friend moved to Chicago with his mom.
He eventually had to watch her get raped and beat to death with a gun pointed at his head in some park area.
He is now in the Military and scarred for life.
I can't help but let his experience taint my views of life in Chicago.
