I am a bit confused which brand of babycare to use. I cannot decide between Avent products and Johnson & johnson. Can anyone suggest which one is best. Thanks

Do you mean Aveeno for bath products? If you or your partner has sensitive skin you should stick to the Aveeno or other products for babies with sensitive skin just to be on the safe side. My son got my husband's sensitive skin and he would scratch himself bloody if I used anything else. I also use the perfume/dye-free laundry soap for their clothes.

Hi I only used Avent but would recommend them as they fit together really well and no covers or other fiddly bits required. Plus, the breast pump fits directly to bottles (really handy.) I also found the transition from bottle to 'magic cup' quite easy and the Avent ones are available in every shop, pharmacy and petrol station so if you get caught out while you're out and about or need a new one, they're easiest by far to get hold of.
However, in the past few weeks, the cost of Avent equipment has gone up considerably, the price of teats doubling from 1.99 to 3.99 (it's a new Airflex system thingy) so if you're on a budget, bear in mind that the parts you will need to replace most often are double the price of cheaper brands so might be better to get your baby used to a different type. Hope all goes well. I'm almost 19 weeks preg too, not far behind!!

Well if it is bottles you are talking about I like Avent a lot. There help with colic and gas. I also thought I would tell you some of the things I didnt buy before I had my son but wished I had. An angel care baby monitor and a car seat cover. Good Luck!!!

I have always preffered avent, as everywhere sells it, they also provide loads of different style teets ( if your baby is a bit fussy ). Although it probably is slightly more expensive it's worth it.
I terms of bathing products, it's a case of trial and error, depending on your babies skin. However it's always best to buy the brands which are designed for sensitive skin, Avent is also has a good selection of these. For yourself and your baby. Hope this helps, and good luck with your baby.

i really liked the Avent products, you can buy parts for then like extra nipples or even convert them to sippy cups. I also found that when breastfeeding, my baby would switch between the breast and bottle no problem. She didn't like the other brands.

I'm a mother of two and have tried and tested many products.
These are the best :Feeding - AVENT, reduce colic, teats shaped like mom's nipples. Also i would like you to try Toiletries-Mustela,especially the diaper cream,OVERNITE RELIEF FOR DIAPER RASH! Good luck!

You know maybe buy like a trial size of each and then see which works best for baby..You many find that one or the other may cause irratation to your baby..Once you know you can then buy the bigger bottle and you havent wasted too much money..
Congrats to you by the way!!

AVENT ARE GREAT-IF YOU ARE BOTTLE FEEDING THEIR WIDE NECK BOTTLES ARE EASIER TO GET THE POWDER INTO THAN NARROW ONES. I FOUND THE PERFUME IN J & J WAS TOO STRONG FOR MY KIDS-THEY BOTH SCREAMED IF I USED ANY OF THAT STUFF ON THEM.I REMEMBER COVERING MY SON WITH J&J BABY LOTION AFTER A BATH AND HAD TO BATH HIM AGAIN COS HE SCREAMED SO MUCH.FUNNY THO COS I'VE USED ALL SORTS OF OTHER STUFF ON THEM AND THEY NEVER REACTED TO ANYTHING ELSE- EVEN CHEAP STUFF!!!

I learned when it comes to baby products such as lotions and stuff like that and bottles and nipples are all really up for the baby. you might like a certain brand but baby might not take to it and then you start all over...
