I don't think it's a big deal what do ever. If you are wearing something really fancy then perhaps a strapless style to avoid it. Otherwise you might look into the Victoria's Secret T-Shirt bra in the Pink line. Not really expensive either, under 30 which is good for vickies! It has this cool little hook on the straps to hook them together and keep them from slipping down, and its super comfy and in lots of different colors!

Or just check out the Pink site on the Vickie's page! Good luck!

In my opinion bra straps showing underneath a tank top or any-type of casual top is fine. Many people make it a bit more of a statement by wearing black bras (except with white tops, that never looks classy) or bras that has ribbon straps or lacey straps. I have even worn a bra that shows the straps in a nice spaghetti strap top that I've worn out to a bar with jeans.
I think that clear straps is a no-no and that skin colour straps should never be shown. Basically if you are going to show them, wear a black bra, unless you are really flirty and you don't mind being daring....in that case wear red or purple.
I suggest you buy a strapless bra. Or really a convertible bra. A good convertible bra comes with the straps, that you can take off if you want, or you can wear it as a halter or to cross over the back... lots of different ways.
There is a bra or a solution for every occasion, just describe your outfit to an assistant in the lingerie department of a store and the women there will always know which bra will be perfect for you! :)

Most of the time I wear a bra that gives me the most support. As long as your not in a fancy place it doesn't matter; it's just a bra. You could buy one of those bras that you can wear five different ways. The ones I have found have skinny bra straps but still offer great support.

Don't know who liberated us from hiding feminine garments.
Young girls and older role models look cute with bra straps
and camisoles showing. Bra colors are neat to contrast
with tops and match the shorts or pants. The one thing
I don't like showing, are plastic straps that look orangey
from bleach washing. They all should not be shiney.
I do prefer bejeweled tank tops with built-in bras. It does
give the illusion you are not wearing a bra & don't need
one. Mine come from NewportNews.com out of Virginia.
I buy first of season discounted or their clearance items.
Check out what "The U Bra" can do to triple cleavage!
It comes in white, nude & black. JCP & Fredrick's of
Hollywood have them on-line for about $30. My twelve
yr old granddaughter, "Thong Girl" has probably taken
her Mom's and run off to school! I did see every color
of bra made in a JCP store this week, lots on sale.

I don't think its a problem to let bra straps show, unless its a formal event, and if so you could get a strapless or a bra with clear straps

Don't fret too much unless you are dressing up or going to a formal event. :) If you're worried, I really like Victoria's Secret Pink bras. They have skinny straps and have one that converts to a racerback (with skinny straps) so they're easy to hide. And they're way comfy and come in really cute colors and prints!
