Hi Charley, Good questions. Yes there are real cattle drives and you can take part in them to. Find out if you have a dude ranch where you live and check into this. You will have a great time.

yes i forgot the name of the place it is in Arizona i found it by looking up horse back riding at sunset. there was 10 ranches that you went and spent the weekend as a cowboy, cattle drives learning to rope horse back riding shoeing horse feeding pigs all that stuff.

edit (to the above answerers): Ah, okay. I thought dude ranches were the ones that took you on cattle drives like the one in Brokeback Mountain. Thanks for clearing that up.

yeah they have them at dude ranches, but i don't think most of them are as long as that one.
