I am preparing for an interview for an engineering leadership position. does wearing glasses make me look "nerdy"? I usually wear glasses but I was thinking wearing contacts instead may make a better impression.

It depends on the glasses. If they are sylish, you proabably look better with them...unless they are TOO stylish. Engineers may take it as a sign you are NOT as competent if your glasses are too trendy.
If they are thick frame, coke bottle type glasses, go for the contacts - as long you already wear contacts. You do not want to be fidgeting with new contacts during your interview.
Suit and Tie with neat hair should be fine. If you can, have some one check how you look with and without your glasses. And then take her advice.

If you normally wear glasses, then wear them. Not sure how wearing contacts will make a better impression if people don't know that you are wearing them in the first place. Whether or not you wear glasses or contacts will not determine whether you get the job or not. Just be yourself and if you don't get the job, it's their loss. All the best.

If you got bad eyes just show your true colors and wear those glasses. I dont see a thing wrong with that. If you get the job wear contacts. But first be yourself. Glasses are nothing to be ashamed of. I have worn them since i was10 yrs old and i am way beyond those years. Wear them in pride.

It depends from what kind of glasses you have. Some glasses make people look smarter for example.

I wore glasses to an interview once. Unfornunately they were empty martini glasses on my head. Needless to say that I didn't get the job.

look you should wear glasses its a part of fashion and looking good. your tie should be tighten up,shoes polished,a smile on your face and a kind looking man.wish you a best interview man.

Looks can be a factor, but don't fret. If you look presentable your professional manner should win the interviewer over. I mean if you look nice and acted like a clown would they remember that your look was together?

dont even fret
just make sure they are cute frames.
i personally like the wire frames

Be yourself. They care about how well you can do the job.Suppose you got the job. What will you wear for work??
