This Easter egg's not empty,
It's full of love for you,
And we want you to know
That Jesus loves you too.
When Jesus died his friends were sad,
They put him in a tomb.
A stone was then placed in front
And soldiers watched the room.
When three days passed an angel came
And moved the stone away.
The soldiers saw the angel
And they didn't want to stay
The friends came to look for Jesus,
They didn't want him harmed.
But Jesus Christ had risen,
So they were not alarmed.
The tomb may have been empty,
But Jesus was full of love.
And if we can live righteously,
We'll live with him above.

a fun idea for the kids... fingerpaints (in the sealed jar, inside the egg..) get some construction paper and some paper plates (to spread the paint on)... ask the parents to bring old shirts the kids can wear over their clothes (think 3rd grade art smock.. aka dads old button up shirt!).. not only do they have fun hunting for eggs they can make hand print art.. fun for the kids.. bonus for the parents.. easter 2007 keepsake art! better done outside... you should spread the paint on the paper plates thin so you don't have any extra. And fill a couple of big bowls with warm water that way, when the little hands are done making their personalized artwork, they can just swish swish in the warm water and no more messy hands!

money, or pecies of paper that tell the kids what they can turn it in for, magic bubbles, or rings, or a small toy you can put in the egg. A gift receit for some lucky kid to go and pick out a price from a store.

You could put quarters and dimes in them. Also little plastic animals or action figures, rings, stickers, tatoos, pieces of paper saying "better luck next time." jewelry, nail polish, novelty pens, key chains. Thats all i can think of now.
The kids can trade if they don't like what they got.

If you have a Dollar Tree nearby, that is full of things to stuff the eggs with. First, that have packages of eight bouncy balls for $1.--they are great to put in eggs, and kids love them. Depending on the size of eggs, you may be able to put die cast cars in them, there are always those stretchy insects and frogs, inexpensive dress up jewelry, decorative erasers, pencil sharpeners, pencil grips, cut up sheets of stickers, badges, mini highlighters, key chains, coins/quarters, Sacajawea dollars, balloons, friendship bracelets, a few vending/gumball machine prizes, mini plastic slinkies, tops, mini yo-yos, hair bows, green army men and accessories, small party favors, tiny bottles of bubbles, tiny note pads, whistles, coupon I owe Yous, temporary tattoos, lip glosses/flavored chap sticks, depending on age of children cheap fishing lures, miniature soaps, small eye shadows, lipsticks, miniature playing cards, hemp necklaces, scrunchies, etc...
The list goes on and on of things that you can stuff those eggs with.

You can go to the dollar store they usually have some small things for the kids. If not there try Toy r Us they should have some small things for kids. As for the adults why not go to an adult store and look for small items that will fit inside the eggs. Something fun for the adults. Justs make sure the adults have one colour and the kids have another.....
