r^3 = 162

r = cube root of 162
r = cube root of (27*6)
r = cube root of 27 * cube root of 6
r = 3 * cube root of 6

answer: r = 3*cube root of 6 or r = 3(6^(1/3))

when you say little 3 do you mean "to the power of 3" as in r "cubed" or how we write it r^3?

If so you just take the cube root of both sides

because cuberoot(r^3) = r
cuberoot(162) = 5.5 (1 decimal place)

so r = 5.5

If that is what your question was asking.
