My boyfriend's 19 in late May. To think for his age he wouldn't be sleeping all that much, and likes to get things done. Well he doesn't. He tends to sleep 12 a night, usually sleeps at 1/2am & wakes up at 2/3pm! He says he's going through growth spurts and needs plenty of rest for his body to grow. I'm not saying he's not growing, because males can still keep growing until their early 20s. But I'm pretty sure that he's not going through such a major growth spurt (just little ones), to need 12+ sleep every day! Is my boyfriend bullsh**ting me, or am I just clueless about the male body?

If he didn't need that much sleep, he would wake up once he had enough sleep. Just try sleeping for 12 hours if you only need 8 hours -- you can't stay asleep.

He could have a sleep disorder that interferes with the quality of his sleep, so he needs 12 hours in bed to actually sleep 8 hours.

With that kind of schedule, he obviously isn't working or in school. Are you supporting him? If he really needs 12 hours sleep, he should go to bed at 7pm!

I wake mine each and every 3 to consume. At 10 days previous you would be able to desire to, you would be able to desire to make a schedule and persist with it. not something inflexible yet I caught to the three hr rule in my opinion, now she's 10 weeks previous and he or she sleep interior the path of the nighttime.
