I haven't been to that bar, but I have had many good nights in Kent! In the early 90's a friends band would play at a club called OZ. We would do the road trip thing form Cincinnati to catch the show.
Tell me you have seen Spiderfoot play at OZ and make my evening!

What a good question! When I was in college at the great Kent State, the favorite bar of my best friend and I was called "Screwy Louie's"! It was the coolest bar ever! My friends and I had many favorite bars and clubs we hung out, but my best friend and I loved Screwy's most, because we were the bigger drinkers, and not dancers as much and at screwy's we could play all our own music choices on the jukebox,(lots of awesome classic rock), and we could also have a blast and talk to all our friends and just sit at the huge bar and laugh and drink and dance(if we wanted to)! It was like being at a friend's house, it felt like home and was like our second home! It had everything we needed and wanted! BEER, shooters, cool music, all our friends, cool bartenders who knew how to serve, lots of seats, a bathroom, some comfy booths if you didn't want to sit at the bar, the most fun people in the world, great smells(weird I know!), and the best Saint Patrick's Day and Halloween parties! I sure do miss those days! Thanks for letting me escape for a few minutes with your question!

The Bar @ Quaker Stake and Lube, Cranberry Twp. Pa. was my ever Saturday hang out for 6 years.

But since you said NA, I'd say check out The Red Carpet in St.Cloud Minnesota. Random, sure. But it is one of the largest in the nation and is one of the best live music venues out there. You can check it out on the web at redcarpet.com.

My favorite is the Musky Bar & Grill at Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander. But then, that's more by process of elimination.
