Cairo is the capital of Egypt. Giza is a city in Cairo. When u fly to Egypt, u fly to the airport in Cairo. Cairo itself is huge and there are tons of places to visit. In Giza, u can see the pyramids, the sphinx, etc...

If you are going to take the chance of being killed in a terrorist bombing or beheading, I would go to Giza. At least you will get to see one of the seven wonders of the world first.
