I was going to suggest all those.....hmmm. I have had an email service besides these but eventually did not keep thier domain name and ths closed down. This is why I stuck with Yahoo! mail. It's free and it works. AOL I think will be, if not already, a free Ad revenue based buisness.
Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

You know what ?
Stop searching. If you are not satisfied with these, you won't ever be with a free service.
Some providers let you have your own email with you own domain name (like jason@jason-us.com) for around 10 USD, and they are much more reliable, since they are bound by a contract, and you can ask for an explaination if something nasty happens.
Both my yahoo and hotmail account got toasted for no reason, so I decided to change for something more reliable, and i am really happy with what i have now (www.1and1.fr).

Wow, this is an open-ended question. Do a search on Yahoo and Google for free email accounts. You'll find plenty.
