Other than a blood test what other ways are there to get accurate results... The home tests I take are inconsistant....
I don't know what to do.

The doctor can do an internal exam and can tell by the way your cervix looks. Also, at about 10-12 weeks the fetal heartbeat can be heard. If you are having problems with the home tests, try to test only in the morning when your HcG levels are at their highest. The home tests only detect those hormone levels and in early pregnancy, they are decreased at mid day and night. Usually the first pee of the day has the most. If you are really not sure after that, I would talk to you doctor about alternate tests besides blood tests. i.e, ultrasound will detect the fetus. Hope all this helps, good luck to you.

Well, if you wait about until about 4-5 weeks into the pregnancy you can get a basic early ultrasound at the doctors office that can tell you if something is happening in there. Without the blood test they can't tell you the health of the baby - but they can tell you if there is something going on in your uterus or not.

Many ob/gyns and midwives have basic ultrasound equipment they can use for this kind of thing right in their office so you don't have to go to a special clinic or hospital where it's very expensive.

do exactly no longer seem and don't jerk arm. you need to ask for individual who's extremely stable, very almost never lacking. Insures ninety% or extra perfect danger of in basic terms one stick. Needle each so often no longer even felt with expert. yet once you seem, complication, jerk, blah -- extra effective than one stick, their interest extra stable. it particularly is no longer a biggie whether it does harm a splash each so often. A bee sting is 25 to 100X worse. One time I have been given stung by skill of a extensive black hornet with a white abdomen -- authentic in the back of the decrease area of left ear the place it particularly is comfortable. That replaced into approximately 650 x worse. extra perfect to have blood drawn daily for 365 days than that one. in basic terms some minute and you're achieved, much less if its in basic terms one small tube complete. it particularly is no longer a huge needle -- a splash one frequently no longer felt in any respect.

well if you are pregnant your going to have lots of blood tests done, and your going to get one to confirm the pregnancy. i am scared of needles aswell; so scared that i cried..no joke, when i got my confirmation blood test done i cried... i am such a sook. but im only doing it for my babies health, not for me. you dont have to be ashamed of being scared and no one judges you on crying if you do. other then that wait a while and do another HPT

Know what's scarier than a needle? An unwanted pregnancy. Go get a blood test.

You can get a urinalysis done. Go to the doctor, pee in a cup and they send it to the lab. The doctor tell you if you're pregnant. No bloodwork.

You can get a urine test at the clinic that is more conclusive than the at home tests.
