This is a tough one to answer, because there are three very good teams that I believe can all reach the Elite 8: Kansas, Texas, and Texas A & M. Let's start with the weakest.
A & M is a good dark horse candidate, but I don't trust them as much as a lot of other people are saying (i.e. to make the final four) because their schedule is not as strong as some of their fellow conference mates.
Kansas may be the best team in the country right now, but, and maybe this is because I'm stubborn, but I refuse to acknowledge a Bill Self-coached Kansas team to be the real deal until they do some damage in the NCAA tournament. Remember, they lost to Bucknell in the first round two years ago and then Bradley last year, also in the first round, as a #3 and #4 seed, respectively. They were also considered as Final Four prospects both years. Maybe they really are contenders this year, but I'll have to see it first.
So that leaves Texas as my pick for the best in the Big 12. They were in the memorable game with Oklahoma State that went to 3 overtimes, and even though they lost, that was in a hostile environment (OSU's fanbase is one of the better ones) and only by two points. They have some good wins under their belt and have the experience of being there before, making it to the Elite 8 last year.

Good Question. The are 3 teams from the Big 12 that might make the Sweet Sixteen this year. they are Kansas, Texas, Texas AM. Texas AM is the weakest of these teams but they are capable of beating anybody. Texas might make the elite 8 this year depending on who they have to play. Kansas is the best school in the Big 12 Conference and is playing great basketball at the moment. However once Kansas gets into the tournament there fate is in there hands. they have taken an early exit the last 2 years. If they keep playing the way they
are t the moment Kansas will make the Elite 8 and may makle the final 4.
