ca any 1 explain me how do i sniff my network as i an connected to my ISP(airtel) through a ADSL2 modem and the sniffer softwares donot work on them .whenever i sniff them what i get i only the sniff data of my computer. since my ISP(airtel) should have a server can this server should me connected to all the local computer then i shold be able to sniff them..but these ADSL2 modem does not allow me to do that i know that this is an switched network.but i donot know how to sniff a these kind of networks can any 1 help me ? and plz tell me in detail which software should i download and what are the configuration i should i do to get the results?

you'd have to do arp-spoofing in order to sniff a switched network.

there was a tool out a while back that said it did this, just search for 'arp spoof' or 'arp poisoning' and you might get some tools/ideas.

btw, this is all legal, RIGHT?
