You're not crazy! There are ghosts out there! I'm not one of those super-paranoid alien-loving, ghost-seeing treehuggers or anything but I've seen a few ghosts myself. I was in a restaurant a year ago and the lady who handed me my order looked exactly like my grandma for a moment. When I walked out to the car, my mom called me to tell me that she had just died. I've also seen lots of little children. I don't tell people because I don't want them to make fun of me, but the fact is that they do exist. Most of them are friendly and lonely though, I mostly just feel sorry for them.

When I lived with my grandparents several years ago. Their house was built pre-Cival War era. The house had been used for several different bussiness. First it was a toll gate house. Later it was a house and an attached store before my grandparents bought it over 50 years ago. It was rumored that some people had died there before. One ghost in particular had a name by which my grandparents called "Sam", this ghost was very mischievous and like to hide things and then bring it back a few days later. When my grandparents couldn't find something, they would call for Sam and later that day the object would be found and the exact spot that everyone had already looked at earlier. I also had some experiences with the paranormal, such as sounds from the attic of someone walking around late at night when everyone was asleep. There were some things that happened that you just could not explain. Like there was a room that had a very steep grade on the floor and if you rolled an object down the grade it would come to a complete stop and then slowly gain speed as it rolled back up. My grandfather has passed away about 6 years ago and my grandmother still lives in that house. I, myself have a hard time going back there for any length of time. I get this uneasy feeling by just walking in.
I don't know if I believe in an actual ghost, but I do believe that a house can hold memories of years, decades, and maybe centuries of events. Sometimes these events of a different time have a way of coming out.

Everyone that has lived in this house has seen a ghost. The ghost was the ghost of our sister. She appeared the night she died.Everyone, saw her. Our new sister in-law from Korea (just off the boat)saw her and she didn't know about any of the stuff that was going on.Oakey, had gone to the bedroom for something, and ran back out of the hall, with a loos of pure terror on her face. When my brother ask her what had happened(she didn't speak English)She said there was a woman in the closet. The woman, she said was the woman in the picture. She had never met our sister, nor did she know about her death.I feel very privileged for being allowed to see her ghost, although I would have been happy not to see it so close.I saw her from my bedroom. You could look out the door and through the living room into the family room. I saw a figure, of a woman floating across the floor, (it had no feet) and right through the front window. Next morning, we found her necklace at the baseboard below that window. She had never been to the house that we lived in at the time. Another time I was asleep, and something woke me.I opened my eyes and two inches from my face was the face of a woman. It was starring at my eyes. That scared the s---t out of me.! Bye.

Not seeing can be believing.
During an unusually vivid dream I felt frightened beyond all reason followed by a sensation like a balloon bursting in my chest, after that an odd calm. I awoke feeling like someone had put a pot on my head and smacked it with a mallet, my digital clock (something new and fancy in 1970) read 3:01 am. All that day I had the feeling that someone was standing at my right shoulder. I kept turning around expecting to see a friend standing there. When I got home my mom was sitting by the phone crying. My grandmother had died at 5:00 am in Okalahoma, two time zones away. We found out the next day that after several heart attacks the affected heart mussel had split, popping her heart (you guessed it) like a balloon.
That experience pried open the door to an alternate reality, much to my dismay.

Stories and more stories. In this day and age when half the world walks around with a camera or video.I've still never seen any proof. When I was five I saw little men jump out of a cloud in my hallway. It was so real I screamed. Now that I've grown up I realize it was a dream.I've had the same type of thing happen to my own kids.

A couple of years ago, my daughter stayed in a Bed & Breakfast in North Carolina while on her way to a photography seminar for college. The Bed & Breakfast (which was previously a private residence) was supposedly haunted by a girl who hung herself in either the late 1800's or early 1900's. She became pregnant by the stable boy, had the baby and her parents gave the baby up for adoption, the boy was run off by the parents, so she hung herself.
My daughter and her boyfriend stayed in a room together and her boyfriend kept saying that he heard someone whispering all night, so they left the lights on. The next morning, her boyfriend went down for breakfast, she stayed in the room taking photographs of the bed and the room. They packed their stuff and left late that morning.
Once my daughter got to the seminar, she developed the photos she'd taken along the way. In one of the pictures of the bed, you could see the bathroom to the right with a mirror over the sink. In the mirror was a reflection of a girl dressed in a turn of the century looking white blouse with a black ribbon tied around her neck, hair up in a poufy bun like they wore back then. You could also see the top of my daughter's head in the mirror (she was bending down looking into the camera lens) and the girl was standing behind her, seemingly looking down over my daughter. The room was on the second floor and there's no way for someone to stand outside (no balcony) so it's not any kind of a reflection from outdoors. She blew the photo up and you can see the girl plain as day. Creepy, creepy, creepy!
My daughter called me from Virginia freaking out about the photograph. I told her to show her professor, but she was afraid he'd think she was crazy. I told her to have it published, but she's a professional photographer and she's afraid she'll receive backlash, so she won't. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever about ghosts, they're real!

I have! Had a 1 year old brother who stopped breathing, mom took off for the hospital, I headed upstairs to bed and mind you, there were no windows in the stairway. Got about three steps up and this thing that looked like a white sheer panel curtain draped over a human form turned at the top of the steps! It came down and unbelievably at 5 years old I walked toward it! We met about half way up the steps and we both stopped! I put my hand through its mid section and it felt like fog! I ran like HELL! Its been 50 years since and I still remember it vividly!

I believe too! My daughter had visits from her deceased grandmother when she was younger. She even drew a picture of a necklace that her Omi was wearing. I had never seen the necklace, but when I showed the drawing to my mom I thought that she was going to faint! My mom remembered the necklace, but also mentioned that her mother hadn't worn it for more than 40 years! Like you, I have many, many more stories and they are real!

I don't believe in ghosts, but I don't think you guys are nuts either.
I'm a Christian and according to the Bible there is just no way the dead can come back to visit us. But I've heard some pretty weird and true stories about "ghosts" who comes back.
I think what most of you have seen are spirits/demons that has taken the form of your loved ones, as a meassure to decieve you. Why would it make you feel uneasy if your mother visits you, unless it's not really your mother.

Can't see 'em, but I (very, VERY occasionally) feel a presence and communicate with some sort of being. It's kinda comforting, actually, although I rarely remember the details of the "conversations" (no verbal communication) afterward.
