I am filing for bankruptcy but I need help to sue my Franchisor and can anyone tell me where I can get free legal help or where I can get funds for a lawsuit? I am in S. California. Thank you!

Depending on how much you want to sue for you could just take them to small claims court. It generally costs less than $35 to file the necessary form. Usually there is a limit that you can sue for in small claims court. Depending upon your location you can generally sue for anywhere between $2,500 and $5,000. You don't need a lawyer in small claims court, you can present the facts to the judge yourself. Contact your local city hall for information on small claims court.
Other than that, I am not aware of any free legal services available to sue someone. You can ask for a free consultation with an attorney (who has experience with lawsuits) to ask their advice.
Take care.

You may want to contact your local legal aid they can help you for little or no fee at all. Many of the lawyers work for the state and get paid by the state so not alot comes out of your pocket. Hope this helps.
