The Mayan Calender ends on December 21st, 2012. Some think it marks the end of the world and others think it will mark a new beginning for mankind. Theology scholars are even suggesting that Christ will return. It's only 5 years from now. Guess we'll find out, won't we?

You are talking about the Polar shift of 2012. This is a very interesting subject. The magnetic poles of the earth shift every 75,000 years or something like that. The Mayan's predicted the next one in 2012 using their very acurate calander. The problem arises when the polar shift begins it's process of "shifting." It will leave the earth unprotected from the sun's ray's for a period of time. This in turn will fry everything on the surface of the planet. Once the shift is over the north pole will become the south and the earth will be protected from the sun's ray's again.
Google..."Polar Shift 2012"....and have yourself a look...there are several different theories.
It might not be a bad idea to find a place with a deep basement and start storing up canned food and water.

I DOUBT IT. As said on the gospel of Matthew, God only knows the day Jesus will come. It never said that the world will end in 2012. How about 10 billion+ years from now, when the earth is planetarial fodder for the expanding sun?
