considering the history since the dawn of human civilizations, we can conclude one thing. no system, no government, no civilization and offcousrse no ones forever. its been 230 years since usa came into existence and has been a super power for almost 60 years now. soviet became a superpower few yrs before the usa (technically) and collapsed in 1991. history repeats. chinese empire was a superpower untill late 1200's and later collapsed and again now seems its coming back, same with India.all the superpowers have collapsed from indus, egyptian to british empire. now --- usa; i somehow see the slow and gradual weaking of the economy. it no longer has the lusture it used to have back in the day. whats the future for
USA (democracy)?
India (democracy)?
china (communist)?

honest answers welcomed. :)

How can you really say "lusture" from "back in the day" is now missing? Were you alive back then to experience that "lusture." In my opinion, most beliefs in "good ol days" are over idealized. Even when there is a period of seemingly wealth and happiness, there is frequently a large suffering population that merely happens to be voiceless or hidden at the time.

I don't know you can conclude that our time has come just because empires usually collapse in the past. But I agree that people tend to NOT learn from the past. And as much as I want to say times are truly different today, I think that may just be my own bias.

I hear you, and know where you are coming from. However, as long as white men are in political power in the U.S., we aren't going anywhere. Men strive on power, money and sex. Right now, they are all gettin' a bunch of all of those and we are totally safe. How sad, but true. Unfortunately, the U.S. will be around as a power for quite a long time to come. (Look at those guys you went to high school or college with, they want power, money and sex as well! Nothing will change!)

US is not a democracy we are a republic - we don't have one man one vote majority rules - we have represented government. we are leaning towards socialism.

China - communism is good for the masses when individual assets are low. as things improve everyone wants a higher unique standard of living - a more democratic form of government will arise

India - is pushing democracy - but the masses are wanting socialism -

The best form of government is one run by a benevolent dictatorship.
