Any plans to vote for Rudy Guilliani next year? I don't align myself with either political party and, while I *despise* Bush, I am giving serious consideration to voting for Guilliani myself.

Rudy does not share some of my ideals and morals and so in the primary I would never vote for him. In the '08 general election i will vote for him if he gets the party's nomination as he is a million times better than any democrat running right now and at least won't had the country over to our enemies like most of the democrats running would. If for some reason a democrat like Joe Lieberman or Zel Miller decided to run then I would definately vote for them over Guilliani as I have more respect for them and they are true democrats and not socialist america haters like most of today's democrats are.

I'm a Democrat and lived in NYC towards the end of Rudy's second term as mayor. Before people decide to vote for him, or anyone for that matter, they should know where he stands on issues. Most people that see him know him for only two things, the decrease in crime in NYC and how he handled 9/11.

I will say this about Guliani. As a Democrat he is both my favorite candidate and the scariest candidate in the Republican field. He has the best chance at winning a general election of any Republican, and, oddly, he is the Republican I would least mind winning.

He is a capable manager, I share a lot of his social views, he is a Yankee fan and I found his demeanor comforting after 9/11. There was a noticeable decrease in crime here during his terms as mayor, though the credit for that is not solely his (Police Commissioner Bill Bratton deserves some credit as well... and I'm going to get killed for this but so does Bill Clinton. Yes, crime went down everywhere in the country during the 90s. It just went down faster here).

He appointed good judges while he was here, he has a sense of humor, all in all he's a good New York City Republican. We grow 'em different here.

I don't pay attention to the personal lives of candidates, so the three wives and the affair don't bother me. He's never campaigned or been a staunch supporter of "family values" so there is no hypocrisy there.

If Rudy got the nomination, I would consider voting for him depending on who the Democrats nominated. There are three or four Democrats I would take over Giuliani without thinking, after that I would have to give it some thought.

Whoa, what do you advise do not use something he's achieved interior the previous? it somewhat is impossible to be responsive to what he will do interior the destiny, the only clues lie interior the candidate's previous. The previous is or may be the very maximum needed element in thinking a candidate. Rudy replaced into the supervisor government of a city larger than some states and he did the job ok. What has Hillary carried out to should be elected President? She replaced into the tips for the White Water real assets progression which defrauded a gaggle of persons. She claims that she did not be responsive to something with regard to the fraud, yet she replaced into their lawyer. in spite of everything, if she did be responsive to something then she should not be elected simply by fact she is a criminal. If she did not be responsive to something approximately it, then she should not be elected simply by fact she is an incompetent lawyer. each and every thing she has ever carried out has been tied to the reality that she married bill Clinton, era. what form of spouse places up along with her husband being a rapist, molester, and sexual harasser? to not even point out being a pot smoking philander?

I like President Bush.

If Guilliani is the candidate of the Republican Party I will probably vote for him, since I don't see anyone any better running on the Democratic ticket.

He's a joker who was blessed with 9/11 - without it, he would have remained a complete nobody, and it's not like he did a great job, either, he mainly collected "oh poor Rudy" sympathy support and the ensuing nomination.

No, because he did not DEMAND a prompt investigation into 9/11 despite the death of thousands of his constituents. He played right into Bush's hands and didn't question a thing. An investigation into 9/11 took over 100 days to get rolling, well after the rubble aka evidence had been shipped away and destroyed. Check out www.st911.org it is a site run by families of the victims of 9/11, their voices deserve to be heard...and if people would only listen they would be suprised to what is going on.

BTW, investigations into the Challenger disaster, Pearl Harbor, etc took less than a week to get rolling...why the hold-up?

Why would I want a man like that looking after my best interests? No thanks.

I will not vote for anybody who the mainstream press promotes on a daily basis....but especially not rudy, because he will further push our country into a police state. He also will try to ban arms.

I am voting for Ron Paul.

Possibly. I like his blend of social liberalism with fiscal conservatism. However, I need to hear more about his ideas on the environment, taxes, and social security before I decide.
