I am 68 years old. In Dec 2006, my enlarged prostate gland is 46 cc, urine puss cells 60 to 80HPF, PVR 600 cc which is removed through tube. In March 2007, my gland is 33 cc, puss cells 10 to 15 HPF, PVR 75 cc with medication of Uromax and antibiotics. Will my gland become normal with further medication or Do I need surgery TURP?

No offense to the answerer above but Saw Palmetto isn't going to do squat for your prostate. It does have a compound in it that could be helpful but it is such a small concentration that it is useless. That is why you are using Uromax.
With that said, it doesn't really matter how large your prostate is, assuming you are talking about bph or benign prostate hypertrophy. What matters is, is the size causing you to have problems with urination. If you have severe enough problems with infection or urination then yes, you may very well need the turp. But if you are relatively symptom free and are seeing good results from your medication, why opt for surgury. In any case, before you agree to such measures, simply find another urologist and get a second opinion, simple as that.

Best of luck

Talk to your doctor about using a good quality Saw Palmetto extract. It may be helpful. A naturopathic doctor would be quite knowlegable about the details.
