Graham Yallop was the captain of the Australian team in that match, which was not in the early 80s, but played from 10th to14th Feb, 1979 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, a spinner's paradise. It was the 6th test of the Ashes series, which England won 5-1. The match was over in the 11th over of the last innings, which Yardley bowled, and the victory target a mere 34 runs. The solitary wicket England lost was that of Boycott, to Higgs. Earlier, Australia were all out for 143 in their 2nd innings with Geoff Miller taking 5 wickets and Emburey 4. The umpires in the match were Tony Crafter and D.G. Weser. Yallop ploughed a lone furrow for Australia with a century in the 1st innings. He was the man of the match.
