When it come to running errands I sit down and I make it fun to organize my route like making my own personal map to get the best utilization of my resources. Time/Gas
When it comes to cleaning I do it one room at a time.
Organizing a task can be done on paper. It helps get control of what needs to be done and how to prioritze the task.
I always start with the bathroom, quick/easy and gives you the feeling you accomplished something to spur you on to the
next task. When I get on a roll,,,,I get really busy....lol
When I go into the bedroom I take out everything I don't want to have in there. I make the bed. All the clothes get hung up or put in the hamper. I take all the trash off the vanity, put everything away and dust all the shelves. Then I sweep the floor and mop. (once a month I wax) Also be sure you dealt with whatever you took out of the room. Your bedroom needs to be free of any clutter to make it restful to sleep there.
Livingroom: Same thing...I start with all the Paper....I inherited my Mother's packrat gene....lol I put all the paper in a box.
Then I move as much of the furniture out of the room and do the floor. I dust all the shelves. Put all the furniture back and then I deal with the box...I make a file stack and trash sack.
Kitchen: I keep up this room more than anything else I do.
I take the chairs out, the cat box, etc... I get all the dishes done
the counters, the stove, the hutch, wipe down the outside of frige, wipe down the cupboards, Then I do the floor and put everything back in its' place.
My ideal thing is to try to do ONE room on a certain day of the week, big discipline goal on this....I even try to get the laundry done friday so that I can have my weekends free.

You probably scatter- start one thing, then another move to something else-- make yourself a "to do" list- right now as a matter of fact, of what it is you need to get done tomorrow and not just work wise but your personal life to- put your personal one on your fridge- it's a good place cause you can add the food you need from the grocery store on it also. You must be a Type A, all of us Type A's have the habit of trying to do more than what is humanly possible in a day--prioritize your list and do not deviate from it unless there is an extreme emergency--you will feel very relieved after you checked off the first couple things on your list and it's only 1/2 hr into the day--seriously--a list is the only way to accomplish things and don't let phone calls distract you--they do eat away at the day and unless you can multitask, cut them short......good luck ....

Some say set goals. I say write down what has to get done that day and in what order. Then the day before I make sure I have everything I need to get it done so when I show up for work or start my day at home I am ready to go. Don't stop until you get a much as you possibly can done. Do this as routinely as you can , and it will make you very efficient. I started doing things this way and people always asked how I got so much done. Sounds simple but it works.

Make sure that you are very organized in your plans for the day. Wake up and make a mental list or write down what needs to be done. Make sure they are done before 6, when people get lazy. Also, stay out of traffic, which causes a lot of stress.

Write down a list and stick to it. Check off things as you do them. Seeing all those checks will give you a sense of accomplishment and you'll be motivated to do more.

But don't make a long huge list at first....start with a few things.

Fix the time frame for doing things and try to finish the thing in time. Never extend the time to accomplish the thing. The leniency only spoil us.

i have the same problem, i am a born procrastinator. it is helpful to me to make a daily list of things i need to get done. it even helps me sometimes to set a time limit on something, especially things i don't like to do such as housework. i set the timer and give myself 15 minutes per chore, and that's all the time i take, then i move on. i have learned to get things done more often by keeping the list and keeping the list helps me to remember to set the timer to do the chore.

The best way to get things done is
'Start doing it'...
A thing well started is half done..
