Search it up. Or, for a more fast and convenient way, go to www.lionbrand.com. Hopefully you learn from there. There are instructions on crocheting and knitting. There are also a lot of patterns. Good luck!

put knit or hat crochet patterns , into a web search and you will get lots of instructions.

Your local craft department will have lots of books with fun designs and their instructions, and the yarn and needles to do it. Have fun!
