I myself am gay and enjoy techno/dance music, and was wondering why the (percieved) majority of gay men like techno music? Any ideas?

im not gay but some techno beats are pretty cool

Because techno music is cool and most gay men have good taste. They didn't come out with Queer Eye For the Straight Guy for nothing.
And I'm a bi chick who also loves techno music. :)

nicely, i myself pay attention to TRANCE and DUBSTEP. no longer Techno. nevertheless some Techno is very nicely, it is limited to in basic terms some Techno artists. there is an endless distinction between Techno and Trance that maximum folk won't have the potential to tell. in any case, the final public of the gays i be attentive to exact pay attention to Rock music and R&B. no longer Techno. I preferably be attentive to everyone who listens to Techno, in certainty. do no longer generalize.

Well I'm gay, 30 and hot, and I hate techno music. Unless Ive found really killer X to take, then its the best! I've stopped going to We Ho clubs for the most part because techno gives me a migraine.

I think gay men like Dance Music (techno, house, trance, freestyle, europop, etc) because it's a fast-paced, high-energy music that's not just good for dancing, but also very uplifting and positive-sounding. It's never depressing or slow.

They have awesome rhythm and can be great to dance to.
And it's not just a gay thing. I think people like it in general.
