Many. Just last year I lost 2 aunts because of cancer. I have lost friends too. This is the disease that most scares meof all. I am afraid of AIDS too but not as much as I am of cancer.

yep
actually I lost two of my grandparents to cancer, and my grandma had stomach cancer, and it was really depressing because she literally wasted away for about 8 months. My last memories of her are just her on her bed whispering bye to me when we had to leave.

my best friend's little sister has cancer, and I know it's really hard for him, and I'm attached to her too

Yes, my mother-in-law. Last April. She was a beautiful Italian woman with spunk and a sense of humor. She lasted 7 years after her first diagnosis. I miss her alot. I guess she got tired of fighting it. She told us..."Miss me, but let me go"......My father-in-law gave me some nice decorations that she had in their home...and I am so proud to have them. My favorite season has always been Fall, he gave me many Fall decos..plus her b-day was in October....so now I call it "Julie's" month. If you have lost someone...I hope you are doing ok. Take care!!

My grandfather died of lung cancer in his 70s. I still wonder how long he might have lived had he quit smoking sooner.
