make sure you eat enough protein since its vital for muscle repair. apply icy hot and make sure you always have enough fluids.
when you are skiing, start out slow. do some gentle quad stretches beforehand too. when you are skiing, remember not to carve too hard or tuck too long, because this will put strain on your quad muscles.
when you are not physically skiing down the hill or on the lift, unbuckle your bottom 2 buckles on your boots. this will provide greater circulation and take some of the pressure off. better yet, take your boots off completely inside to greater relax your muscles since they will probably still be healing.

You know the routine. Heat then Ice. First heat them up and then do slow stretches, not painful ones but easy ones. Keep them loose and moving. Ice them up afterwords to keep any swelling down. Anti inflammatory type meds should help. However if you did a heavy tear during your excises then it will just take time. 3 to 4 days just to loose the sourness. Message them and keep them loose. I think you will still have fun, but don't push yourself and cause real damage. Try and have fun

two days should be enough time for your muscles relax enough to where you can ski. I find even if my muscles are a little sore and I start using them, the exercise will loosen them up. Also, ibuprofen (motrin) helps very much for sore muscles.

DRINK A LOT OF WATER! when you exercise you make lactic acid, the lactic acid builds up in the muscle and that is what makes the muscle sore, the water helps to get rid of the acid

Its best to do some cardio.. like walking, treadmill, eliptical.. that will help warm them up and stretch them out.. also taking an ibprofin will help, it reduces inflamation and thats whats causing the pain.. you should be okay in 2 days.. the worst you can do it sit and rest.. you need to let them stretch.

You'll be ok in 2 days. Get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water, eat some protein, and take a hot shower/bath.
