JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesian villagers claim to have captured a python that is almost 49.21 feet long and weighs nearly 992.07 pounds, a local official said Monday.
If confirmed, it would be the largest snake ever kept in captivity.
The Bhitarkanika sanctuary on the Orissa coast has achieved an exceptional distinction of housing the world's largest salt water crocodile measuring about 23 feet.
In the North-Eastern corner of Kendrapara district of Orissa, India, the Bhitarkanika sanctuary is home to the world's largest 23 feet (over 7 meters) saltwater crocodile, and this reptile has now found a place in the 2006 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

I really don't know the answer to your question but i saw a snake once so large that i was afraid to let my children go out to play alone for a very long time! I though i was seeing things so i picked them up in my arms and asked what they saw and they said "oh mom a really great big snake. " I saw one not quiet as big later on so it make me feel more sane. This snake was as big around as my thigh and its head was at least five feet off the ground. and many feet longer it was a ring necked black snake. We had just moved into a new home that has been unsettled if ever for a very long time. In N.C.- U.S.A. I wish i could have taken a picture through the window of course.

I saw a show the other day and they said they have found the skeeliton of a crok at about 27 ft and they think they may have been larger. that spicies no longer exists. but the saltwater nile croks are about 17 to 20 foot long and reported longer but not verified yet

the anaconda is the largest snake while the croc absolutely nails the aligator in size. I think maybe the nile crocs are the biggest crocs.

I feel its the Anaconda till date it is said to be the largest snake on earth ever, croc--> I feel it is the Aligator!
