Will a 1996 Suzuki DR650 engine fit into a 1997 Suzuki DR350 frame?

With a bit of tweaking it will, you will have to change the engine mounts. Get a mig welder!

I would doubt that the engines are able to be swapped without some kind of frame modifications.

you need to check the "mount" bolt patterns...and measure them...good luck
