anyway to frag a hd w/ out a screen?

the backlight on my lappy died and i dont have any spare moniters to hook it up to, btw its linux, not windows

generally you want to resolve hardware issues before you get into something like formating a drive or dealing with software problems....even if you manage to get the drive in order what good is it with a bum display
