This is kind of embarrassing for me but me and my guy were having sex like five day's after I came off my period and we..We got so caught up in the foreplay and then the actual act that both of us forgot the condom..its been about a week and a half since then and I'm a little worried about becoming pregnant. Is it possible to become pregnant so soon after your period? And if so when should I take the home test?

I would just like to respond to Dean's answer. I believe he said that Peyton was wrong in saying you can get pregnant any day, period or no. You can get pregnant any day, I would venture to say it would be more unlikely you would get pregnant while on your period due to lack of a surface for the egg to latch on to, and the timespan sperm can last in the body. That's just my guess, I'm not stating it as fact.

Follow the advice of the other posts and take a pregnancy test around the time of your next period. If it is negative but your period still doesn't come maybe go get a blood pregnancy test by your doctor, they are more accurate than the take home kind.

you should not take a home test until the day after you are expecting your period (if it does not show, of course) Whether or not you could get pregnant depends on whether or not you were ovulating. Normally if a woman has a 28 day cycle (cycle being defined as the time from the start of one period until the start of the next) she would ovulate on day 14 (the first day of your period is counted as the first day of your cycle). If your period was 5 days long then you had unprotected sex on day 10 (probably not a lot to worry about) if it was 7 days long then you had unprotected sex on day 12 (a little more risky). Now this is all assuming you have a 28 day cycle. If your cycle is 35 days long then you would not ovulate until day 21 (14 days before your next cycle was due to start) and that would make it even more unlikely that you are pregnant. In conclusion I would say that you have very little to worry about and that you should take a test if your period is late, but there is really no reason to worry and test until then

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

It is not likely, but every woman is different so there is still a possibility. I wouldn't worry about too much though, stress can delay your period. If you end up being a couple days late I would test, until then save yourself the headache and remember the condom. Or go on the pill or something else that will not be forgot in the heat of the moment. Good luck to you though.

It is possible to get pregnant then but it not highly likely. You should definitely take a test to make sure though. You can take an early results home test (like First Response) 5 days before your period is due- it is more accurate if you test with first morning urine. If it is negative but you do not get your period as normal then you should test again b/c it ma have been too early (sometimes it takes a little longer for HCG to build up). Best Wishes!

You could absolutely be pregnant. The chances aren't as good as if you were right in the middle of your cycle - but you could be pregnant.

The EPTs vary - but you usually have to have missed a period before most of them will show whether you're pregnant or not. Check the packaging. Each of the will tell you how it works.

If you are having unprotected sex - you need to know the answer to this question. " If you become pregnant will you raise a baby, give a baby away or kill a baby?" Those will be your choices. None of them are great.

Hope you do the right thing.

its possible but unlikely. I can tell you one thing for certain..... don't listen to Peyton's answer he is a fool !!!! It is not possible to get pregnant on any day and especially not on the days your on your period. Relax... its too late too worry about it! take a home pregnancy test now and again in a few weeks and then decide what you want to do. Keep the stress and worrying down though if you will consider keeping the baby its not good for either of you. oh and don't believe every dumb ass that gives you answers on here. good luck

You can get pregnant any day. Doesn't matter what day it is. You can get pregnant on your period. You should probably wait to take a test until your at least a day late for your period.

it depends on how long you cycle is go to parentcenter.com and input your info into their ovulation predictor and see how long after your period you would be fertile i happen to have a 24 day cycle and my ovulation is the week after i end my period and you can take an early pregnancy test as soon as 5 days before your missed period and try not to listen to the ppl that just yell crap and try to put you down that is not what this is for they need to grow up
